How Revolutionary Was the Industrial Revolution?
The Industrial Revolution was very revolutionary for many different reasons. It was as much of a Industrial Revolution as it was a social revolution.
- One of the reasons was that there was a huge shift of people going from rural to urban populations. It caused most of the population who were farmers to become factory workers because they were replaced by machines.
- More productions happened and led the world with more ideas on how to improve mass production. It started a whole new government idea of socialism/communism. People had different ideas and a class struggle between poor and rich started.
- It started new ideas on how to mass produce things such as the assembly line. Britain also became very internationally involved in trade. Britain became very involved in trade with other countries. From this we can conclude that the IR was quite revolutionary.
